Vanadinite is a member of the Apatite group, which is a group of isomporphous hexagonal minerals. It is structurally and appearingly similar to Pyromorphite and Mimetite. Deposits of Vanadinite are found primarily in arid regions - notably Morocco, Namibia and the interiors of Argentina and Australia.
This specimen is of Moroccan origin.
