Amber with Insects in Frame
Framed Amber specimen containing preserved insects.
Formed over millions of years, Amber is fossilized tree resin.
As trees released resin, insects and other organisms became trapped. Through a process of heat and pressure, the resin transformed into a hard, translucent time capsule.
This specimen is 5cm x 2 cm, and contains a number of insects, with clear striations of rich amber colouring. A perfect addition to a collection, or a great gift for an amber and fossil enthusiast.
Acrylic frame: 7cm square.
