Ammonite - Fossilised Specimen
This example of a fossilised Ammonite is an intact and perfectly preserved Ammonite, an animal which lived during the Jurassic and Cretaceous periods of Earth's history at least 66 million years ago. Ammonites became extinct at the end of the Cretaceous Period at approximately the same time that dinosaurs vanished.
