Aragonite is a resinous, carbonate gemstone which has a mellow orange tone. The group was first identified along the Aragon river in Spain in 1788. It is sometimes referred to as Floss Ferri (Latin for iron flowers) because of it's branch-like, thin and entwined crystal formations.
This specimen originates from Mexico.
