Curious about Quokkas (Setonix brachyurus)?

A small macropod (around the size of a domestic cat), Quokkas are found in the forest and coastal heath of southern Western Australia, and in larger populations on Rottnest Island, just off Perth, and Bald Island, near Albany. WA.

Herbivorous and mainly nocturnal, they look somewhat like a very small kangaroo.

They climb small trees and small shrubs and have a life span of around 10 years.
