Warlukurlangu Artists - Coolamon
This beautifully hand-carved coolamon is hand crafted and painted by artists from the Warlukurlangu Artists Aboriginal Corporation in Yuendumu, Central Australia. Traditionally used by Aboriginal women for carrying food, water and even babies, the coolamon has deep cultural significance and continues to be a powerful symbol of care, strength, and connection to Country.
Each piece is uniquely carved from local wood and hand-painted with vibrant motifs that reflect the artist’s ancestral Dreaming stories and connection to land. A stunning combination of traditional craft and contemporary desert art, this coolamon makes a meaningful addition to any collection or a truly special gift.
