Clapsticks, known as 'Milbarra wadhi in the Wiradyuri language, are a rhythm instrument used by the Wailwaan, Yuin, Wiradyuri, Gamilaraay and many other Aboriginal nations
These clapsticks are made from timber sourced sustainably from country, using dead trees or branches. There are many variations in this naturally sourced timber and the ornamentation on the instruments.
Milan Dhiiyaan provides Aboriginal cultural immersion experiences for both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people of our Australian and global community. Milan Dhiiyaan means “One Family or One Mob” referring to all of humanity, as one family on mother earth.
Clapstick detailing is unique. The size of each varies slightly and is approx 300x100x30mm, 350g approx
Each set comes with a certificate of origin and authenticity from Milan Dhiiyaan
