Azurite & Malachite - Mineral Specimen
Azurite and Malachite are two copper carbonates that are minor ore minerals. Azurite, as suggested by the name, is the blue one and Malachite the green. These two copper based gemstones are typically found in copper mines, or close to other copper-based gemstones like chrysocolla or turquoise.
This specimen originates from The Democratic Republic of Congo.
