Jeanette James - Echidna Quill Necklace
The striking necklace has been handmade by Palawa/Tasmanian artist Jeanette James.
Made from sustainably sourced echidna quills it has been assembled into a necklace using traditional stringing methods, handed down through generations of Palawa women.
These contemporary pieces have traditional origins and stylistically draw reference to adornments worn by generations of Palawa women. Jeanette has a license to collect the quills from deceased echidnas, which is required as they are a protected species.
Total Length - 540mm, 120g approx
Delivery costs are calculated at checkout and include the total weight of items within an order.
Orders are posted Mon - Weds. Standard post to Australian addresses will arrive within 5 - 7 working days from dispatch date.
