The beautifully handwoven Wissisrow Basket and Nawit Bag are crafted from natural fibres such as pandanus and cane by artisans from Vanuatu's Torba Handicraft Cooperative and the Malampa Handicraft Centre. Perfect for everyday shopping and as a gift for anyone who loves the look, feel and design of unique hand crafted products.
The Torba Handicraft Cooperative, established in 2018 in Vetimboso Village on Vanua Lava Island, empowers the local community by turning traditional skills into sustainable income, while preserving cultural heritage. The Malampa Handicraft Centre coordinates production and sales from remote villages across Malekula, Ambrym, and Paama islands, ensuring that weaving techniques are passed down to the next generation.
