The Australian Museum Shop is offering a selection of exclusive prints featuring the artwork of Winifred West, a celebrated female teacher and illustrator who worked for Conchologist Charles Hedley at the Australian Museum in the early 20th century.
Winifred started Frensham, a prestigious girls’ boarding school in the Southern Highlands of NSW, where she served as headmistress in 1938. She was awarded the M.B.E in 1953 and C.B.E in 1971, for services to education.
These high-quality archival images are presented on 330gsm cotton rag paper and are ready to frame. Available in 3 sizes.
