Coolamon by Millmullian

Timber, hand carved and shaped Coolamon.

These Coolamon (Gulaman, Guulaman, Wirri, Guliman) have been crafted by
Wailwaan/Yuin songman and senior cultural educator Millmullian (Laurance Magick Dennis).

Used to collect and carry bush foods including seeds, grains, fruits, vegetables, small animal foods (witchetty grubs and lizards), ochre and medicines, they are exquisite to use as decorative display bowls in your home.

The Australian Museum shop carries a number of hand carved and smoothed coolamons. Each is individual in its variations, and the small markings on the timber showing where the craftsperson has worked the timber with tools.

Each coolamon comes with a certificate of authenticity and coolamon care instructions.
