Bush Flowers Soft Scarf | Ampilatwatja Aboriginal Art

$69.99

This luxuriously soft scarf carries 'Bush Flowers', an original artwork by Alyawarr artist Rosemary Ngwarraye Turner, printed edge-to-edge in an all-over design that lets the story flow across every fold.

Ampilatwatja (pronounced um-bludder-witch) artists are known for fine, delicate dotwork and bright, figurative depictions of their home. They don't paint altyerr (dreaming) stories; they paint Country, the very place where those stories live.

The bush flowers in this design bloom seasonally across Alyawarr Country. Several are gathered for traditional bush medicine. In Rosemary's own words: "When I go out hunting, I like to see all the bush flowers that are flowering, and then when I come back, I paint them."

This scarf is a wearable piece of that seasonal beauty. With a soft feel and drape, it adds warmth, colour and a genuine cultural connection to any outfit. It's a meaningful gift for someone who values art with a story, and a way to support and celebrate First Nations artists and their communities.
