Dracula
Dracula by Bram Stoker is the classic Gothic novel that shaped modern horror, now part of the Australian Museum Shop range for the exhibition Bloodsuckers: Nature's Vampires. First published in 1897, this timeless story of Count Dracula comes in two editions, a deluxe hardcover keepsake or an affordable paperback, so readers and horror enthusiasts can each find the right copy.
The story
Told through diary entries, letters and newspaper clippings, Dracula follows young solicitor Jonathan Harker to a remote castle in Transylvania, where he learns his host Count Dracula is no ordinary nobleman. When the Count sails to England to spread his curse, a group led by Professor Van Helsing must hunt the vampire before it is too late. This is the book that gave the world its definitive vampire.
Part of the Bloodsuckers collection
This edition ties to Bloodsuckers: Nature's Vampires, produced by ROM (Royal Ontario Museum) and showing at the Australian Museum from 2 April to 11 October 2026. The exhibition moves beyond myth to the real science of the world's most notorious feeders and their role in modern medicine, including Australia's homegrown bloodsuckers. Choose the deluxe hardcover keepsake or the affordable everyday paperback from the options on this page.
